Whispering sweet nothings...

Since Pat has had to be absent at random times, it has caused me to have to learn to do more around the house.  One such chore is trimming the dog's nails.  The first time I tried this, I lasted one nail with Bella and gave up due to the rising desire to throw her off the deck due to her squirming.  Pat finished it that time.  It became imperative a while back for it to be done again.  It seems that Pat is acutely aware that I will step up to the plate and do what needs to be done when it needs to be done.  Darn it.  Now it seems like I am a pro at this and even Rowdy runs up and plops down to have his nails trimmed, even though he rarely needs it.  Perhaps its all the belly rubs and soft treats with which I reward them that results in such docile behavior.  Yeah, just call me the dog whisperer.
